No, it's fairly fun and useful now...old version was pretty much cyclone axe for the sword- lame since it was elite.

New Hundred Blades works incredibly well with +damage buffs.

Old Hundred Blades was weaksauce, like a Double Cyclone Axe every 8 seconds.

The old version of HB basically became obsolete when Whirlwind Attack appeared. Combined with DS, if you were surrounded by enough enemies you could basically alternate the two as they charged each other.

The new version, however, is tasty. Especially when combined with Whirlwind and Mark of Pain as people have said... and it also serves as a nifty way of getting damage through blind.

Disagree with this. The old HB was just not used because it was generally useless. Now, however, it has massive damage potential.

The old version was nice with the old version of splinter weapon where you could create a giant bomb of spikes in one hit to a mob, I dunno, I kinda liked it.. but then theres the new version...

The new version is just awesome. You got added DPS and effectiveness with Sun and Moon Slash, Whirlwind Attack, Mark of Pain and a few others.

I went into RA using MoP, HB and Barbs just stomping on faces.

Consider using Signet of Strength + Barbs + Rigor Mortis + Flail + HB + Sun and Moon Slash + Bulls.

And then the monk kited, and you were still flailing around the map, because you have no cancel stance =) ? (unless you didn't bring a res sig)

Old Hundred Blades sucked as hard as all the Rurik wanna-be's who ran around with an FDS, Crimson Carapace Shield, and Frenzy+Mending+Healing Signet. Sure, it hit your target and adjacent foes twice, but dealt no bonus damage, and the recharge was crap.

New Hundred Blades has insane synergy with MoP, Barbs, OoP/OoV, Whirlwind Attack, and Sun and Moon Slash. And it kills Raptor Nestlings in droves.

I vote for the new version. I actually use it, unlike its previous incarnation.
